This years Vetsearch Puppy Classic is shaping up to be a very exciting and possible close
race, with some bound to be up and coming stars.
The Heats were held on the 25
th of August. The race is held over the 520 meters and holds a $10,000 prize to the
winner, with second getting $3,000 and third receiving $1,500.
With that kind of prize money the heats attracted some great dogs.
Heat one was an exciting race with a tie for second the placing’s were GOOD SAMARITAN (1
st), COLD COLD CHANGE (=2
ND) and DANTE BALE (=2
ND) the time for the heat was 30.66 with the margin being 5 lengths.
Heat two’s results were OKAY SUPREME (1
ST) , DIN’S SON ( 2
ND) the time was 30.59 and the margin 1 and a half lengths.
Heat Three’s results were SHALL SHE (1
ST) , VELOCETTE (2
ND) the time was 30.31 which was the quickest time of the night over the distance and
the margin was three quarters of a length.
And Heat Four the final heat the results were DEADLY RUMOUR (1
ST) , KENDALE BALE (2
ND) the time was 30.45 and the margin was a head.
Graeme Bate has three entries in the final and Peter Hunt’s Kendal Bale has won his first
seven starts which includes the Group 2 Horsham Cup.
With very fast times and close margins the final should be a great race.
